So let me get this right... SpaceX's "successful" orbital launch of Starship lost an engine in flight, was cut from a planned six orbits to two (and SpaceX isn't saying why), neither part is reusable, and the top part blew up on splashdown.

And parents also complain their kids aren't growing up. I just find this so, so weird. Maybe it's a background thing, but I was treated as an adult when I was 16, able to make my own decisions, and I did (right and not-so-right). Maybe it's age: my dad left school and started work at 14.

Privatisation probably caused more long term damage to the health of the British economy than anything else in the past 60 years. Far from making things more efficient, it guaranteed both low investment in infrastructure and more or less guaranteed profits for large companies.

The thing liberals fundamentally don't understand is that trans people are losing rights they already had. We're not asking for more, we're asking not to lose what we already had for decades. Most sports leagues and the Olympics had inclusion criteria for decades without issue.

Now, Schiller is 66 and clearly wanted to have some semblance of retirement. He can focus on philanthropy and spend more time with family. But there’s a bit more to the story, I’m told. Ternus and services chief Eddy Cue want to make even more money from the App Store and figure out ways to raise margins and squeeze additional recurring revenue from the platform. Schiller, on the other hand, seems to believe that such moves will only further irk developers and governments. While there was no internal blowup or anything like that, it’s something he wanted no part of.
