a couple of simple cartoons featuring my interpretation of Supergirl.
On top: a simple comic in 3 drawings. Kara is dressed super casually, holding a mug. She says, "Tea is cold…" She uses her heat-vision to warm it up.
On bottom: A flat colored simple cartoon featuring Kara and a classmate. Her classmate has her hand on her hip and is pointing directly at Kara's face saying, "I know what you are, Kara." Kara stammers back, "Y-you do…?" Thought bubbles beside each of their heads indicate what they're each assuming. The classmate's bubble features the lesbian pride flag, while Kara's is the S-Shield from her Supergirl costume.

lately when i've been drawing it's been almost exclusively to work on the comic, which is great because i love working on my comic, but it's kind of made it hard for me to draw without the intent of created a finished product like, i feel like i have to retrain myself how to just doodle 😂

You guys have to realize that policing fiction is a part of fascism. This is leading to people losing work and being harmed in real life. You cannot determine what should and shouldn't happen in a fictional space, all you can do is put up your own personal boundaries.

Panel 1: Dylan (she's a pink cat this chapter), wringing out her tail after dunking herself in water last update. She says, "Well that didn't work. This fever must have me really knocked out…"
Panel 2: A voice from out of panel says, "Hey! You down there!" Dylan looks a little confused and surprised.
Panel 3: Dylan, looking confused, points at her chin and says, "Hang on… I know that scratchy voice…"
Panel 4: A wide panel with Dylan looking up into a tree. In the tree, sitting on a branch, is Tori. Tori is depicted as a bird with blue feathers and a long beak; they still have their messy, black hair. Dylan says, "Tori? Is that you??" Tori waves.
Panel 5: Only Tori in the panel, sitting on the branch, looking down toward Dylan. They say, "Heya, Dylan! Y'know, most people normally use a fishing pole."
Panel 6: Dylan again. Dylan looks confused, realizing Tori's referring to when she dipped her face in the pond. She says, "Huh? Wait. No, I'm not fishing…"
Panel 7: Dylan looks embarrassed, shrugging her shoulders and gritting her teeth. She says, "This is gonna sound weird, I'm pretty sure I'm dreaming right now… I'm trying to wake myself up."
Panel 8: Tori again. Tori says, "Of course you're dreaming, dude! I'm a bird! Hold on, I'm gonna come down there!"

Panel 1: Tori standing on the branch, trying to balance, wobbling a lot. They say, "Just… uh… Gimme on second…"
Panel 2: Tori hugging the tree's trunk while awkwardly climbing down. They say, "Gotta retrace my steps… I'll be right there…"
Panel 3: Dylan. Dylan looks bored and slightly annoyed as she watches Tori (who is out of view). From out of panel, Tori says, "Halfway there… Won't be long now. Did this branch always wiggle?"
Panel 4: Dylan looks frightened, her hair standing on end, as a loud snap is audible. Tori falls from the tree. Tori is a blur, a smear of blue feathers and black hair. They're screaming as they fall.
Panel 5: Dylan recoils as Tori crashes to the ground. Feathers fly everywhere.
Panel 6: This panel is positioned directly beneath 5. Tori is lying on their side, arm draped over their back, legs splayed. Family Guy death pose.
Panel 7: Tori springs up with their hands above their head, an excited look on their face. They say, "And they stick the landing!" Dylan, in the background, with an exasperated look on her face, says, "did they?"
Panel 8: Dylan and Tori standing beside one another. Dylan asks, "Wait a second, Tori. Why exactly are you a bird?" Tori says, "Hmm… I'm not sure… This is your dream after all."

We are literally all living in little algorithm-tailored bubbles. Something many of us fail to realize is that just because WE see a news clip or song or hot take everywhere, doesn't mean everyone does. Our media and news is highly tailored. There aren't just 4 channels anymore.
