To verify images, digital forensics investigators will often check whether the geometry of the scene is realistic. In a real photo, lines that run parallel in reality—like floor tiles—should meet at a single vanishing point. In this image, however, the dotted lines do not meet in a single point, indicating it is a fake.

One of my favourite tech avenues of late 80s and early 90s Japanese PCs is stuff that had a PC Engine built into it. The PC-KD863G is a fine example of the PC Engine-in-things: a standalone 15" monitor with a PCE built in that could be used as is for a super-sharp RGB image or with a Japanese PC.

A magazine/brochure ad for the boxy CRT monitor, proudly beige, and displaying its sharp RGB colourful image. A hu-card slot is built into the monitor, as is a joypad slot. Boxy clip-on speakers can be seen too.
