Yesterday, the Northern Line wasn’t running due to a signalling failure (we took a bus). Today, the train to Hastings has been cancelled due to unauthorised people on the tracks. We’re now departing from London Bridge instead of Charing Cross. We’ll get there eventually. #travellingbear

The Duke of St Albans has sadly died. Wasn't aware there was one. He lived modestly but described Tony Blair's cancellation of his annual haunch of venison as a pretty poor show. His title via Charles II & Nell Gwynn bluntly described by the Telegraph as orange seller & strumpet. (!!!)

The human had an hour of eye scans today, &was told she would now need 3 bouts of laser surgery on left eye in addition to continuing 8 weekly injections on right eye. All due to complications of type 1 diabetes. Staff are fantastic, treatment is necessary, but it all gets a bit draining sometimes.

Final stop on way home today was CAP-Musée des Beaux-Arts, Mons for the Hockney exhibition. Really remarkable to see so many Hockney classics in a location like this - very impressed with the gallery & its curation. Alongside Hockney there were several by the likes of Van Gogh & Munch.

Sublime sunrise over the Brugge-Gent canal, 9.10am this morning.

The sun is behind some trees and has just risen above a canal. Both are reflected in the water in the foreground. The sky is mostly blue with just a few clouds which are turning pink with the sun's glow.
