I live in a busy city, and I started it a while back for myself. It comes out as, I am not friendly, and I don't know where anything is," with my arm jutted out in front of me in a stop signal. It's effective. I don't fucking care if they think I'm crazy. And I do all this from a wheelchair.

I feel like everyone knows this, but if you're referring to human beings, 'woman' is a noun and 'female' is an adjective. Referring to a woman as a 'female' makes you sound like a bloody Ferengi from Star Trek.

Right? I'm 57 and my father was very musical, my mother tried to follow along. But there was singing when I was really small with the guitar, lots of Dylan, etc, and music on in our place all the time. I worked in the music industry for years in LA. It's just in your blood.
