A black and white night photo from my camera trap. It shows part of my garden with various flowers, plants and shrubs in the middle and background. A raccoon is sitting almost in the center of the frame with its head held up towards the sky at a 45 degree angle and its front paws are clasped together. Its mouth is slightly open so we can see some teeth.

Not only is Trump2.0 lying about TdA in this instance, the entire panic over TdA is a made-up viral far-right meme started by a Colorado slumlord theintercept.com/2025/03/27/t...
In August 2024, Red Banyan, a PR firm in Florida hired by CBZ Management, began pitching a story that the property management company couldn’t maintain its buildings because Venezuelan gang members had taken them over — even though complaints about the buildings, including claims of no running water, rodent infestations, and broken heat, had been documented as far back as 2020, long before the Venezuelans arrived in Aurora.

Stories about a Venezuelan gang menacing residents of apartments in Colorado soon popped up in the local media and in the New York Post. Then a video went viral: A doorbell camera video showed men carrying rifles and handguns and entering one of the apartments. After the video received millions of views on X, Trump, then running for president, said in a press conference: “If you look at Aurora, Colorado, they’re taking over the place; they took over buildings.”

Two double-crested cormorants fight over a perch at a nature area in Longmont, Colorado.

In this horizontal color photograph, two double-crested cormorants face each other on a log perch above the water, their beaks wide open as they strike at one another. Both birds have their wings raised in the air.

The cormorant on the left faces the camera, with its head and neck turned to reveal its right profile. The cormorant on the right has its back to the camera, with its head and neck turned to reveal its left profile.

The cormorant on the left had just jumped out of the water to challenge the other bird for the coveted perch. The quick but aggressive spat ended with the cormorant on the left winning the confrontation and taking over the perch.

The background consists of slightly rippled pond water reflecting the gray, overcast sky. The water is disturbed beneath the birds, showing where the cormorant had just launched itself from the pond.

An interesting documentary photograph capturing the physical aggression that can occur between double-crested cormorants as they compete for a favored place to perch, sun themselves, and dry their feathers.

Canada is not actually 'battling for survival' in the context of secession, because in both Alberta and Quebec secession has relatively small amounts of public support. What we're battling is dipshit far-right populist politicians enabling/pushing for this destructive bullshit.

These traitorous goofs offered up our FRESH WATER????? Full exposé on these idiot Alberta separatists here: archive.is/rhGUj
Excerpt from the Globe article reads: “A Globe and Mail investigation has found that Republican political operatives were on the ground in Alberta this year to assist the separatist campaign in its bid to leave Canada, while harbouring their own aspirations for the province to secede.
The Globe also found that when Alberta separatist leaders went to Washington to meet with the U.S. State Department, they offered up key assets from the province's resource portfolio, including access to fresh water and royalties on crude oil, in exchange for help transitioning to independence.
Through interviews with The Globe on both sides of the border, people involved in politics, the corporate sector and Alberta's pursuit of separatism have described persistent efforts by figures in the U.S. administration and conservative political establishment to support groups seeking American expansionism and independence for Alberta.”

If it wasn't already crystal clear that Russell Vought should be impeached as well, it is now. (www.nytimes.com/2026/10/02/u...)
Mr. Trump was eager to see the laudatory ads on the air and told Russell T. Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, to come up with the money from within the government, the people said. Mark Paoletta, the budget office’s counsel, and Will Scharf, the White House counsel, both said it would be legal to use D.H.S. funds. The president and Susie Wiles, the White House chief of staff, both spoke with Markwayne Mullin, the homeland security secretary, about the ads.
