A $3500 medical bill just dropped on us. We don't have that, or space on credit for that, or room in our monthly budget for a payment plan... which we set up anyway. I don't know how we'll manage. Help always welcome, but never expected. ko-fi.com/owenkcstephens www.gofundme.com/f/help-owen-...

Anyway, you should read How to be a Werewolf, which is less of an instruction manual and more of a metaphor for navigating adulthood and anxiety and complicated interpersonal relationships, but your guess is as good as mine as to whatever it's a mashup of. Werewolves with coffee, tho?

the ribalds (some kind of defensive cart) that were ready by early 1346 don't seem to have made it to France until February 1347, and the only definitive record of guns being sent to France is only from September of 1346, but it remains a surprisingly plausible possibility that some form of

A friend asked me why Villani and Froissart mention cannons at Crecy if the current scholarly consensus is that they weren't, and I've read Tout's article ("Firearms in England in the Fourteenth Century") for the first time. I've come away with a slightly different take than Thom Richardson,

Anyway, it's amazing that there's still any variety of film at all. Lucky Colour is back in business, Kodak still has several consumer grade films, Lomography does some artsy films, various sellers respool cinematic film, and it's all cheaper than a warhammer miniature!

Well, after thinking on it, I have ended up buying a film camera to try getting into old school photography after finding one of those legendary deals where you get a nearly complete kit (SLR camera, three lenses, a bunch of filters, flash, etc) for next to nothing.

The worst thing about sites like Gumtree is that usually the thing closest to what you're looking for in the price range you're looking for will be something like "[Brand Name], works good" and one or two super blury photos that mean you can't distinguish the make or model.

The first three book covers in the series--each with a silhouetted woman in different backdrops--are in the corner with the lowered prices, and then there's a larger book cover for the deluxe hardback, this one looking like a pulpy vintage book with a woman fighting a dragon. I agree! I think longbows were, on average, more powerful than most crossbows used in the field (albeit only by a small margin WRT horn crossbows), but the best informed sources them in quite high regard. The difference in effective rates of fire also seems to be much lower than old history
