Latest news at Garvaghy Road is very hopeful. It appears the PSNI have told the Orange Order they won't be able to march because of the size of the protest. It's not clear if there will be an attempt later or not. Residents are continuing to protest. People power in action.

I attended the unveiling of a memorial to the dead women & children of Sean Ross Abbey where 1,090 "illegitimate children" died over a 37-year period, many of malnutrition. The nuns still own the land so their permission had to be sought to erect a memorial to their victims. This is Ireland in 2026.

Oh Dolly. Interviewed her by phone with a strict 10 minute slot. She said we could “crank it up” and our chat for was 20. Hilarious, no ego and wonderful. I used to keep a wee thread of these when I was on twitter. I've seen/heard British docs, podcasts etc refer to the Welsh coast getting battered by the Atlantic Ocean. The conditions in the Peak District can be dangerous because you're exposed to the full brunt of Atlantic storms... 😐😐😐 😑 😐😐

So in order to avoid being sued, the Christian Bros declined to put forward a 'nominee', leaving abuse victims to sue individuals rather than the org. The judge said, fine, we will just publish the names of all 341 members of the order and summons you all. And that's what happened.
