Oh, the irony of all those suburban voters who actively voted for candidates who have made it their mission to make downtown a shittier place, and who actively hate transit and have made it a miserable experience, are finding out that those decisions have consequences.

An anti-2SLGBTQIA+ organization was invited to Ottawa to assist with flood cleanup. They are here. This same group was in NYC during COVID and turned away queer volunteers during COVID. Here's how NYC felt after receiving support from this group. council.nyc.gov/press/2020/0...

Where is the line on what we'll invite into our city? Why are the city's inclusive values bending? Is the city an ally only when times are good, but not when times are tough? If an anti-2SLGBTQIA+ group is invited following a flood, what other hate will the city invite after the next disaster?

Bizarre thing at Ottawa airport last night. We landed on an Air Canada flight from Mexico. Someone messed up, because we got off the plane, no customs or immigration, and went directly to the luggage carousel. People with carry-on-only just walked out of the airport. Nobody cleared customs.
