The thing is that sprouts basically create perfect growing conditions for bacteria. The center of a sprout has a small amount of standing water. There’s just always a risk.

Bought probably ten pounds of tomatoes (however much fit in a basket) and two large bunches of basil, made tomato sauce and pesto, and ate some of it for dinner and am freezing the rest for the winter. This is what it all shrunk down to with food processing/roasting.

An 8x8 glass container filled with roasted tomatoes.

This is so interesting as someone who’s thinking more about pregnancy (I’m not pregnant!). But also! I have always had trouble eating or figuring out what to eat when I’m anxious and assumed it was just a quirk of mine, but it sounds like that’s often directly caused by a hormone.
