Yes hello. Tomorrow I am doing a workshop with @mulegirl.bsky.social about how to sell things. If you really hate selling, or think it's gross, or think it should be someone else's problem ... THINK AGAIN. We are fun! You will have fun. www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-sel...

Goddamn I love living in Minnesota and I love hanging out with Minnesotans and the way they talk is just so goddamn wonderful. It’s like music to me. I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather live. Also, don’t check back in January. Also, damn this place is great.

I live within walking distance of the Minnesota State Fair. I can usually tell how busy it’s going to be based on the on-street parking situation in my neighborhood. This year it’s extra claustrophobic. Relatedly, I am obsessed with tracking attendance numbers. They are SUPER EXCITING so far …

Minnesota has far more state, local, and community journalism than just about any other place in the US, and yet, for 12 days a year, all news simply stops and is replaced by relentless, round-the-clock coverage of the State Fair, and I think that's beautiful.

When we moved to Minnesota, we met our new neighbors and they asked, “Are you going to the Fair? You excited?” I said I didn’t know if we were going and asked if the Fair was going on now or something. This conversation was taking place on March 6th.
