I went to see Steve Earle in concert on Saturday night. Solid songwriter + story teller. I’ve seen him several times over the years dating all the way back to the Exit 0 tour in 1987 with @fermentedferret.bsky.social

Stuck In My Head Lyric of the Day … Day 27: “So it's the Age of Information. This is the Land of Opportunity. And I know nothing, but that just makes it all new to me … I laugh to keep from trying to believe what I see. I only think about injustice when it happens to me. (The Balancing Act)

Stuck In My Head Lyric of the Day Day 25 “Life’s rich demand creates supply in the hand of the powers, the only vote that matters. Silence means security, silence means approval. On the Zenith, on the TV, tiger run around the tree. Follow the leader, run & turn into butter.” (REM - Begin the Begin)

Stuck In My Head Lyric of the Day Day 24 “Your hometown's just the first place you don't understand. Your family are strangers you know like the back of your hand. The higher you think you're above it, the harder you fall. It's a penthouse view of a brick wall.” (Donovan Woods, Back For the Funeral)

Stuck In My Head Lyric of the Day Day 23: “I woke up in mid-afternoon. That’s when it all hurts the most. I dream I never know anyone at the party and I'm always the host. If dreams are like movies, then memories are films about ghosts. You can never escape, you can only move south down the coast.”
