It is part of a principal’s role to evaluate teachers. Most of the time this is connected to law and district expectations. What makes a bigger impact is the celebration of teachers. Validating the awesomeness, and affirming the strengths builds a culture of celebration and support.

What teaches young people self control? Empathy, connection, and co-regulation. Punishment, coercion, do not teach skills or solve problems. They model manipulation and control.
