So we should vote for Republicans, then?

OH, and the Wicked Witch of the West. It took several years before I could watch Wizard of Oz to its conclusion.

OK, I want t support your works, but I don't want to buy from Amazon. I checked Kinokuniya, and it isn't there yet. What should I do?

My mom was impressed that one could make a LIVING doing that. Watching the series, I’m wondering who that could’ve been, and the most obvious answer is Yeoman Rand.) 2/2

(Side-story: back in ‘89/‘90, my mom took a trip to DC. On the plane, there was a woman about her age (late 40s/early 50s) next to her, so they started talking. My mom asked her why she was going to DC, and the woman said that she had been on Star Trek, and now made her living traveling to cons. 1/2

That's cool! I was a child in the '70s, and most of my friends LOVED Star Trek, but for some reason, it never appealed to me, and so I rarely watched it (although I saw movies II-IV in theater, and enjoyed them).

Yeah, I can't really comment, because I haven't watched them yet. I DO know that "Spock's Brain" is generally considered the worst episode of the series, although a friend once told me, "It's bad, but it's not THAT bad."

I've heard that with TOS, though, the third season is the worst.

Just finished Season 1 o f Star Trek! Some clunkers, but overall much better than I was expecting! I'm genuinely looking forward to Season 2!

“how do we win back trump voters in 2026” we don’t. we create an environment where admitting to voting for trump is so socially embarrassing as to render them completely inert. you don’t “win back” trump voters. you demoralize them into staying home. you make it a dunce cap

People who are invested in "trilogies," and expect the second part to not be as good as the first part.

It's hard to tell which is weirder: the fact that these guys seriously suggest that models like Claude have consciousness/sentience or that they actually invest time and money (weird!) trying to convince the Pope as well as theologians and legal scholars of this belief.

The ONLY thing I dislike about Ringu is that it leaves out the most chilling aspect of the tape, as the characters are analyzing it, which was in the novel and the TV film...

Not sure if this counts, but in 1985, when Japanese VHS tapes were abut $100, a friend of mine got four of his friends together (including me), and we all put in $20 so that he could buy Megazone 23, and then he made copies for each of us.
