I saved this MONTHS ago

A grayscale courtroom scene in a New Yorke style. A male lawyer stands speaking, gesturing with his hand, facing a judge who is seated behind the bench with a gavel. In the foreground, the back of Trump’s head is visible. The caption reads: "Before we send an innocent man to prison, shouldn't we let him choose his own judge, bury the evidence, and set the entire system aflame?" The signature "IVAN" is in the bottom right corner.

UK Right wingers getting hot under the collar about the potential takeover of the Telegraph and Spectator. Andrew Neil: “The idea that these two vital vehicles of mainstream centre-right thought should be owned by Arab money and controlled out of New York by a left-wing Democrat beggars belief.”

Justin Timberlake dropped a new song at midnight named “Selfish”. Just to remind him that he’s an asshole, Britney Spears fans have pushed a 13 year old Britney song (also named “Selfish”) up the iTunes chart. The Britney song is currently at #1, while the Timberlake song is at #3. 🤣

iTunes chart indicating that Britney is at #1 and Justin is at #3, both with songs callled “Selfish”. 😂

Family have flown across the Atlantic from Mexico overnight - now nearly in Amsterdam, where they’ll get a flight to Dublin. Then drive home to Kilkenny. Long haul for 2 little boys - they went to their au pair’s wedding.

My friend Lina‘s funeral starts in a few minutes in London. I decided not to go because I just don’t have the energy, and this makes me doubly sad. But I know other friends are going. I will watch online. It’s a sad day, but the sun is shining. #chemosucks #friendship

One good thing: on this Ibrance chemo, slowly, slowly, my fingernails are growing resilient again. They still split & snag & I have to keep them almost painfully short, but it’s much better than 5 months ago. @ThanksCancer #ibrance #chemo

open federation means other folks can run their own servers and decide how to moderate content in their communities. it also means they can let anyone in, in which case, invites no longer gate users from joining... sooo when we say "we'll be open soon in early 2024," we also mean open invites!

It’s pretty weird that modern day Christians think they can fast-track their trip to Heaven by poisoning the Earth their God gave them and killing other humans He created in His image. You think you can live in His house after destroying everything He made? Genocide isn’t a thank you note.

Yesterday marked 3yrs -to the day- since this article was published in the New York Times. That no one expects Mone to suffer any great consequences is depressing. But the fact that PPE Medpro is the micron-scale tip of a towering iceberg is the bigger story. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Excerpt from NYT article 'Waste, Negligence and Cronyism: Inside Britain’s Pandemic Spending', 17th December 2020.

Reads: To shine a light on one of the greatest spending sprees in Britain’s postwar era, The New York Times analyzed a large segment of it, the roughly 1,200 central government contracts that have been made public, together worth nearly $22 billion. Of that, about $11 billion went to companies either run by friends and associates of politicians in the Conservative Party, or with no prior experience or a history of controversy. Meanwhile, smaller firms without political clout got nowhere.
