Same with me in Brooklyn - our CCD was in the local church K through 8 school. Though we wrapped CCD before high school. I believe I did my confirmation in either 7th or 8th grade.

I once had a hilarious back and forth conversation via messages written on the desk between me and the kid who regularly used that desk that lasted like 3 months. Kids these days would never have that level of patience and commitment lol

Yep, in NYC it was after school. Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30. In the 80’s and 90’s NYC public schools would dismiss Catholic kids 10 min early on Wednesday so we could make it to CCD on time

lol seriously just last week I was telling a coworker about CCD in NY and said “the level of disdain we all felt at having to go straight from school on Wednesdays to ANOTHER school where our friends’ moms taught us about stuff we didn’t care about and yelled at us…”

I was at Providence College when this song came out and Tariq and Gunz recorded a Providence metro version of this for the local hip hop station. Was really funny to hear “Fall River Baby, New Bedford baby…”

Was kinda funny to see these deep-dives on how interference is defined and when “playing the ball” is or isn’t interference while the VAR crew is straight up saying during the game “it’s not offsides because Enzo wasn’t even trying to play the ball” which is bananas!
