I relapsed and went back onto Twitter this week 😭 I’m so sorry Bsky, I couldn’t resist. I missed talking about the new One Piece chapters with my friends who didn’t migrate to Bsky lol It’s just not the same here for that community 😭😭

I got a new journal that has 365 pages so I can journal one page a day. One page is perfect to get back into regular journaling because anymore than that and I’ll feel pressured to write more and eventually stop entirely. 😅 I’ve got 7 full pages written already! Very proud of myself for that 🥰

Here’s a couple of favorites that I shot in 2024 for my ongoing photo series called, “Thank You For Loving Me” - a personal project that explores living with anxiety, PTSD, and the desire to keep living. All images shot on 35mm film with my Pentax K1000. #believeinfilm #photography #35mmfilm

A self portrait. Two hands form the shape shape of a butterfly, reaching up towards the sun through a pink, blooming rhododendron bush. Inspired by the One Piece character, Nico Robin.

A landscape view of mountains and the Hudson Valley. A giant rain cloud can be seen over the valley, pouring rain in the distance. However, the rain clouds break up over the mountain, revealing the sunlight.

Titled, Monster. A self portrait using my shadow. My shadow casts on the bottom part of a mossy tree trunk. My hands are raised over my head and my fingers are sprawled out. My shadow is distorted to show ambiguity - is it a bug with pincers? A deer with antlers? A woman dancing ballet? Inspired by the One Piece character Chopper.

A view down a dirt path in a forest surrounded by a tunnel of trees. The beginning of the path is shrouded in shadow. However, as the path continues on, the sunlight breaks through the trees in a golden glow, illuminating the way in the golden hour light.

New song available on Patreon at the $5 tier. It's called I Want To Live. Named for the greatest line ever written in human literature. www.patreon.com/posts/i-want...

Your forever sleep
Is interrupted by a lengthy dream that is still too brief.
The dream is mostly pain.
It is the self investigating whether it's truly sane.

I've thought about the oceanic redeemed,
But the water's darker than it first seemed.
Everything that is lies in the heart of magnificent, terrible dreams.

I want to live.
I want to build. I want to give.
I want to form the little seams that make up
Other people's dreams and you must
Let passion quell
The constant beckoning from Hell.
Let dreams of others cure your sight.
I want to stay. I want to fight.
I want to live.

No decisions made.
If there is fate then it is lenient with how it's really played.
Time has gentle touch.
You can remember what it felt like when it all seems too much

There is nothing that will tether you here.
The purpose of the dream is not very clear.
And when I learned of this purposelessness I felt sure there was nothing to fear.

Rosie the dachshund comfortably curls up at the foot of a bed in the guest room to snooze in a sun spot with the light coming from one of the windows. Behind Rosie is a tall dresser with a fake plant and a stack of books. There are two windows, one on each visible wall, and the pull-down blinds are down halfway while the curtains around the window have a warm soft glow from the sun. Shrubs can be seen out one of the windows. The light is warm and comforting despite it being cold, late winter outside.

Miso, the American short hair cat, lounges in a square of sunshine on a bed cast through the window of a guest bedroom. A green shed can be seen outside. Miso lays partially sitting up to look at the camera with his back to the sunny window. His tail is somewhat curled outward in curiosity towards the camera and photographer, possibly wondering why his sunny afternoon nap is being interrupted for a photograph.

A portrait of my husband Danny taken on 35mm film during a long walk in the woods at the end of summer. We stopped to watch a woodpecker on the tree in front of us and the sunlight through the trees looked nice on his face. The sunlight casts a small shadow of his glasses frames onto his cheeks. My favorite thing about the Nintendo Year in Review data is that you can see the exact flow of my mental health in a month-by-month chart, way better than Spotify Wrapped. 🤣 #NintendoSwitch2024

You played 6 games and 649 hours on Nintendo Switch this year!

A month-by-month bar graph showing how many hours were played each month. January had 117 hours. February had 37 hours. March has 34 hours. April is not on the chart, indicating no hours. May had 45 hours. June had 17 hours. July is not on the chart, indicating no hours. August had 58 hours. September had 152 hours. October had 74 hours. November had 111 hours.

In September, I only played one game . I played on 30 days. My most played game for September was Animal Crossing New Horizons. I played for 152 hours.

In November, I played two games . I played on 19 days. My most played game for November was Stardew Valley. I played for 94 hours.
