Something I think every artist can relate to, especially on a new job, is the feeling of being humbled by your own perceived skill level and overcoming it. I'm relearning that now, even after 15+ years in the business. It's never easy going on that journey but it's an ultimately rewarding one. (1/?)

I feel survivor's guilt sometimes - I was the last of a generation hired green and assigned a senior artist to train them. Those days are long gone, now they expect senior level work from the go, at junior wages. God help you if you need to relocate.

When I broke into the animation industry the big battle of the time was that studios realized streaming was "new media" not covered by union contracts, and so if a production was destined for streaming they didn't have to pay union wages. Streaming has always been a grift.
