New preprint! There have been quite a few papers about RLP and RLK receptors, but none of them have a truly reproducible annotation pipeline (including my own...)... We finally made such a pipeline and look more systematically at RLPs within tomato. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

The Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology is seeking a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in Raleigh, NC to advance its undergraduate educational mission and build a complementary research program. This role involves delivering 2-3 courses using engaging instruction, alongside developing an externally visible research program in areas such as plant disease diagnostics, fungal biology, soilborne pathogens, or epidemiology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

UC Davis will no longer pay the difference so that GRFP recipients earn the same as other students. So mid-PhD students will lose nearly 25% of salary & new students will make less than their peers. Apply for the GRFP, it’s a wonderful help to your career. Just don’t come here if you get one.
