We are basically like this in research already. Postdocs and PhD students growing plants, doing tissue culture, and pipetting, while AI chat bots doing the analyses, writing proposals and papers. Humans having to do the menial tasks, while AI chat bots took over the creative work.

New preprint! There have been quite a few papers about RLP and RLK receptors, but none of them have a truly reproducible annotation pipeline (including my own...)... We finally made such a pipeline and look more systematically at RLPs within tomato. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

New paper published! A couple of years ago, German Sepulvada found that there were Alternaria growing as endophytes in Tillandsia plants in the Atacama! We show that they are very similar to the Alternaria atra isolate we found as a pathogen on wild tomato! link.springer.com/article/10.1...

Happy to see this paper out! This started after Moses pointed out that our 2024 review overlooked sub-Saharan Africa. The writing was eye-opening and highlighted how unevenly research capacity is globally. Maybe contributes, in a small way, to a more balanced picture. doi.org/10.1094/PDIS...
