I do think these initiatives are shortsighted. Europe, Canada, and the rest of the world should try to invest more in the talent they already have and try to attract younger talent from the rest of the world, not people close to retirement

So thrilled to see our work published in @mpmijournal.bsky.social 🎉 doi.org/10.1094/MPMI-0… We explored CPK28 evolution. Our results suggest a conserved role in development while its immune-regulation function may have emerged later in vascular plants. Congratulations to all the authors!
