Last night’s excursion. Moments of brilliance from the individual performances (Sandra Oh always so watchable) and pleasingly lyrical exchanges between pairs of actors, but maybe less so in the ensemble scenes? Probs didn’t help that we were sat next to some loud-whispering %#$}s who left 2/3 in… 😬🙃

Moseley Folk was fab - rate this venue highly! 🥰 Similarly chill and friendly, but slightly different crowd to Jazz, Funk & Soul (more like Green Man which figures - much lineup overlap). New-to-me faves: Joshua Burnside and especially The Wran. Jane Weaver gave us a polished set. SFA impeccable 👌

Here be yetis… SFA: (waaaaay more than) OK 👌 Crap pic of a bonkers-good set. They were as phenomenal as everyone said they would be (and standing behind two absolutely plastered Cardiffian super-fans almost entirely enhanced the experience 🙃😌). May have happy -cried a bit at the end…

What both does and doesn’t (but mainly does) help is that I had just started watching the last episode of The Piano when I found out about Dolly. Such a celebration of music - get over being cynical - you will cry and feel better for it - it’s what Dolly would have wanted 😌 💞 🥰

Just been to see the People’s Emergency Briefing. All the emotions - including hope? A comprehensive, succinct, calm breakdown of all the component areas which are impacted and need addressing. Particularly sobering in light of the fires near us (and beyond). Really hope it will be shown on tv…
