i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

This is both (a) the result of carelessness in the guardrails and (b) an unavoidable outcome with *all* AI. You can do better on (a) to mitigate when/how (b) occurs but a probabilistic model built to have essentially unlimited functionality will sometimes go bonkers. That's inherent to to the tech.

I really don’t think that’s the case. I do think that probably these people hate femininity, which they see as weakness. But that doesn’t mean that they are secretly gay or trans. And I think that it does damage to insist that they are. Maybe some are, but definitely not all.
