Cover dated Sept. 1986 (but hitting stands earlier), the last issue of Marvel’s #StarWars, #107, marked the unofficial end of the OT era 40 yrs ago. SW comics saved Marvel from bankruptcy in 1977, but Lucasfilm was so restrictive with storylines post-Return of the Jedi, Marvel decided to just end it
