In my current job I'd commonly be starting at 7:45am, but have started at 6am and even at 4am, but I can also be working til 9pm or Midnight or 4am. I know I'm up earlier in the morning than most blueshirt gobshites who use the phrase people who get up early in the morning, that's for sure.

Every fall, year after year, my colleagues & I give the same interviews on the reality of sexual violence on campuses. In *2007*, I co-founded a group at Carleton that spent 7 years (!!) fighting to get a sexual assault centre on campus. (We won) Time is a flat circle under rape culture.

It sounds mean spirited, but it's truly amazing how much grace, forgiveness, allowance and generosity society (and its economy) offers car drivers. If (when?) someone runs over me in their SUV, the driver will almost assuredly become the victim of this stressful moment in their lives.

My sister and brother-in-law were both stage carpenters who changed careers in their thirties because their bodies were starting to break down. An uncle had to leave house carpentry in his 40s. Fortunately he had a master’s degree he could fall back on.
