This is an appalling lack of judgement and the surest sign yet that Britain will continue to be Trump's lackey. The war in Iran has cost countless lives, and breached international law - yet we continue to support it. Very, very concerning. Very, very continuity Starmer.

Growth mentioned ten times. Climate mentioned zero times. A reminder that the green economy is worth £100bn a year, benefits every part of the UK, and green jobs are paid 11% above the average wage. Burnham must stamp out creeping climate skepticism and deliver for people and for nature.
Image is a an exert from Andy Burnham’ speech this morning. It reads: The change will be the biggest change in our lifetimes to the way the country is run and it is consistent with the 2024 manifesto. We will create a more streamlined state with a clearer purpose: to power up all parts of the country and put a laser-like focus on growth and regeneration. Good growth.

A Labour source said on the new left party that the electorate has “twice given its verdict on a Corbyn-led party in the 2017 and 2019 elections" The source didn't mention the fact that Labour got more votes in both those general elections than they did under Starmer in 2024
Bar chart titled "Labour General Election Votes this century" showing the number of votes received by the UK Labour Party in general elections from 2001 to 2024. Each bar represents a different election year and leader, along with their percentage of the vote:

2017 Corbyn (40%) – ~12.9 million votes (red bar, tallest)

2001 Blair (41%) – ~10.7 million votes (light blue bar)

2019 Corbyn (32%) – ~10.3 million votes (red bar)

2024 Starmer (34%) – ~9.8 million votes (dark blue bar)

2005 Blair (35%) – ~9.6 million votes (light blue bar)

2015 Miliband (30%) – ~9.3 million votes (purple bar)

2010 Brown (29%) – ~8.6 million votes (gold bar)

The chart has a yellow background with horizontal gridlines marking vote counts in increments of 2,000,000.
