This is the only carving I have done by lighting the pumpkin from the inside, and just whittling away to get the effect/image. I very much hope to do more of these in the future, as I cut back my carve-to-deadline responsibilities and allow myself some more artistic freedom.

I remember getting my vaccines as a kid and thinking “I can’t wait to be a grown up because then I won’t be afraid of needles”. Turns out grown ups can also be afraid of needles. It’s nothing to be ashamed of and a very common fear. Get your vaccines anyways! They’re worth it.

There are NOT machine-made clothes. If there were, your clothes would be made in the country you live in (where the customers are), or in China (where machines are cheap). They’re made in Bangladesh or India or Indonesia because that’s where the LABOUR is cheap. Your clothes are made by people.

The worst part of the Assisted Dying debate is people assuming it’s black and white. They think if you oppose the policy, you oppose giving people the choice. I support the right to die. What I don’t support is offering it to disabled people instead of medical treatment.
