If there is one superhero trope I can’t stand it’s depowering the hero for the majority of the story. Yes, I understand it can be a great character building opportunity. But I’m there to see Super MegaGuy punching out bad guys, not some regular Joe figuring out how to do his taxes.

It's weird to me how people act like Supergirl is some early death knell for the DCU when the MCU this early on released Iron Man 2, which was an abomination that made me vomit out every orifice my body and it survived. I think DC can survive a film that, from what I'm aware, is just kinda mid.
