I also just despair over the extent to which AI has further liquefied Boomer minds. Because I have seen some of the SAME PEOPLE gleefully post AI slop who 30 years ago were telling me that *spell check* was a dangerous crutch to rely upon.

I am a huge Mike Flanagan fan and for some reason I am so "blah" on Carrie. I love his past King adaptations so I'm not really sure what it is but I'm having a hard time getting hyped for it.

It comes up in the article but stuff like this makes me a bit uneasy about a lot of dog-centric social media (in which I partake enthusiastically!). Dogs are wonderful and they’re also *animals* who can take an insane amount of time and money to train to do what you want.

It’s nobody on here, but there is someone I follow on Letterboxd whose taste in movies is so bad that they’re actually a very reliable barometer for what I’ll like as long as I assume the opposite of their reviews. I can’t be the only one who has one of these, right? It’s like anti-taste.

A complete mess unfortunately. The premise of “how do you be Iron Man without Tony Stark’s resources” is a good one, but like 70% of the show is about The Hood / The Dark Dimension / Mephisto. I can see why they just dumped it all in two parts.

Thunderbolts* doesn’t quite beat the highs of the Iron Man and first two Cap movies for me, but it’s otherwise very high in terms of my MCU rankings. Visually I think it uses its effects very smartly in a way basically no phase 4 or 5 movie does.
