PRIMETIME - brutal and eye-catching. Completely compelling. Pattinson and Skyler Gisondo have rarely been this good. I could've sworn I knew Merrit Wever from somewhere but I don't think so actually. Whole thing is directed like a horror film, but a really stylish one, dramatic, all gonzo.

BUDDY was good... you've seen the whole "childhood thing turned dark, ooh" gimmick before but this was a good movie no matter what. Solid B-horror. Visually kooky and never gets dull. Cristin Milioti elevates everything she's in.

This IT ENDS movie was nuts. Genuinely existential - like the whole substance and text of the film was about that more than anything. It's a horror movie but doesn't do anything a normal horror does. Really had me feeling some kind of way last night. Fucking unsettling.

This EXIT 8 movie kind of seemed like it would suck in the first 10-20 minutes, but give em credit, they pulled off a pretty ambitious concept. Surrealist, high-brow horror... I think there's a wave of horror movies now that are tackling the mundane horrors of life, the liminal boredoms.
