The deluge of Flock stories are of course horrifying, but they're so widespread and so varied that it just makes you wonder what other bat shit crazy public private partnershit is going on all across the country that no one knows about

I have a friend who is 30, average political engagement, works in digital content, and whose family is from Michigan. I asked them last week if they knew who Hassan Piker was and they said "Who?". Then I pulled up the Jumbotron video. Now they know who he is.

It's clear at this point the government hack is to just make everything a branch of the military. Health Force (Doctors), Work Force (Jobs), Construction Force (Infrastructure), Energy Force (Solar, Wind)

While the nation turns against Flock and mass surveillance, SF’s Democratic Central Committee—a body with two Flock employees on it—just voted to double down on Flock and mass surveillance. SF Democratic Party leadership is a disgrace right now. Completely captured by conservative tech oligarchs.

Flock is under fire. SF’s moderate Democrats are doubling down on the cameras
Flock has lost contracts in many blue cities, but San Francisco leaders are largely defending SFPD’s use of surveillance devices.

Killing the OTA can only be understood as part of the broad, long-running conservative effort to make everyone—including and especially elected officials—dumber and more reliant on the private sector.

The idea that anyone’s instagram or TikTok feeds could be described as a place to chat with your friends is so laughable. She’s talking about social networks, which don’t exist anymore, social media is where you get sold supplements

That NYT/Siena poll also has Mamdani +5 *nationally* among likely voters. Newsom nationally is like -8, Harris -7. 2025 was such a wacky time for the Democratic Party consultant-pundits, who called Mamdani one of the "most unpopular Democrats in the country"

If Democrats were serious they would go straight for the jugular of the crypto industry as soon as they take power. There’s public policy reasons to do this (name a non-crime use case), but also it cuts off a major artery for Republican support and corruption.

I feel like we are just getting to the tip of the iceberg on the astroturf campaign around “Abundance”. I snapped this photo at my local SF library earlier this year. Six copies, no other book came close. Now that’s what I call abundance!

“Mamdani is the political personification of this. He’s the smiling face fighting back. He’s the resistance of a city that has long been captured by capital on the verge of reform. Lurie is also a smiling face, but he’s the reverse. He’s fighting on behalf of power in a place on the verge of capture

Here in San Francisco the sneaky way we’re getting our Flock cameras is that Mayor Lurie lets his billionaire friends buy them as a “gift” to the city. Don’t need to argue over budgets when oligarchs get to pick their pet projects

It's not that universal healthcare = no fascism. People in France are being squeezed the same as people in the US. Yes, they are starting from a better place having universal healthcare, but decline is decline and feels bad even with healthcare. People are going to look for someone to blame.

I’ve always heard when you’re a political party trying to win and there’s a subject you think is a loser for your side, a huge liability. What you want to do is go on national tv and really focus all your attention on that issue. It’s why you see everyone Republican railing about Epstein.

The 43-page investigation found Fultz had posed for pictures as Adolf Hitler, freely used racial slurs in texts, masturbated on camera in his police vehicle, took pictures of his ex-girlfriend with his service weapon in her mouth during sex, repeatedly broke the law to generate clout online for his motorcycle themed Instagram and TikTok accounts, and used Flock to stalk his ex-girlfriend.

The fundraising texts you delete are working on someone. It’s infuriating and heartbreaking. An 85yo in Ohio gave more than double the value of his home. A 91yo in an Indianapolis senior facility gave 25K times. The DCCC/DSCC don’t just tolerate the spammers who exploit seniors. They take part.

I’d be happy if the party said we prefer candidates don’t take PAC money in the primary. We will not endorse candidates who do. We will aid in publicizing who is and isn’t (create something like trackPACs dot org) There’s plenty they could do. The “wish we could act” is so exhausting. Get creative
