Me looking at the menu board in the chipper
A truly terrible looking hedgehog cake with malteser eyes and chocolate fingers as spikes. The worst part is the gums and teeth.

Sílim go bhfuil an ceart agat, a Chaoimhín. D’aithin mé an méid sin agus mé i mo mhac léinn agus rith sé liom gur cur chuige aisteach a bhí ann gan glacadh leis an gcóras Muimhneach fosta - cé nach mbacaim féin leis!

Reading about new mortgage lender Núa Money this morning and wondering if this is another case of marketing execs thinking fadas are just a form of decoration deployed to mark irishness. Like Tirlán's fada on one syllable policy.

In Ireland, the bike share scheme in our four cities outside the capital, called TFI Bikes, costs €10 per year for free 30-minute rides. You can also use the same membership card in another city for an extra €5 a year. This was originally sponsored by a private company but now operated publicly.

Go bhfios domh, cloisfidh tú “péin” go rialta i ndiaidh “asam, orm, liom”, .i. an 1ú phearsa uatha den bhforainm réamhfhoclach. Baineann sé leis an “m” (consan glórach srónach déliopach) ag deireadh an fhorainm in aice an “f” (consan neamhghlórach cuimilteach liopach).

A serious indictment of our politics and media that CETA, which has been adjudged to be unconstitutional by the Irish Supreme Court (Costello vs the Irish Govt), was passed overnight by the Government and there’s barely a ripple of curiosity, let alone rigorous questioning.
Screenshot of some of the CETA podcasts I’ve done over many years. Same thing here

Illustration featuring all the women of the Mini Mná series.
