I get that we often think of survey data mainly as data and having more data at lower cost seems great, but at a very fundamental level we run surveys because we want to know what people think. If we don't care enough about people's views to ask actual people, why bother at all?

Ça fait plus de 6 mois qu'on a des tags néonazis sur les murs d'entrée du lycée sans que ça dérange la direction. J'ai demandé toutes les semaines à ce que ça soit repeint. Trop cher askip. Là par contre c'est recouvert de ACAB et de refs antifas depuis 2 semaines donc ça va être repeint. Ok, vu.

ML and NLP conferences are flooded with so many papers that reviewing is badly broken and acceptance has a huge random factor, so making more submissions means that it's more likely you'll get one in, even if they are lower quality

most of the animus towards how bluesky is moderated is not about a lack of moderation but about skew and bias in how moderation actions are applied and sanctions are delivered. you could do less if you wanted, and then at least it would be relatively honest what this platform is.
