Silly artwork, puns, Maths. Possibly some stand-up/poetry/writing if I find the time. Occasional cryptic crossword setter. Had the evilflea handle for ages, trying out a stage/pen name.

[A parody of MR ROGERS’ NEIGHBOURHOOD, in which the kindly Mr Rogers takes us to see local things in his town.]

[title]
MR ROGERS’ NEIGHBOURHOOD

MR ROGERS:

Hi there

2
Today, I’d like to take you to visit some of my neighbours…

[He puts his coat on to leave his house]

3
At a wonderful local event,

[We see the cute toy-town diorama of his village famous from the TV show. The camera pulls out…]

4
The Data Center protest.

[The camera has pulled out further and now we see a huge DATA CENTER at the edge of town].

5
MR ROGERS [joining a crowd protesting outside the Data Center]:

The Data Center is an enormous, windowless, endlessly humming building outside of our town

6
…Which has tripled energy prices, drank all the water, and created four jobs.

7
[to camera, as if kindly explaining to the viewing children]:

Four jobs! Golly!

8
LADY PROTESTOR [probably NAOMI KLEIN, holding a sign]:

In a way, the Data Center is kind of a vivid metaphor for a future we feel locked out of!

9
MR ROGERS [to camera again]:

A metaphor.

10
That’s something that lets us clarify our feelings about something else.

11
LADY PROTESTOR:
How do you feel, Mr Rogers?

MR ROGERS:
I feel like bringing down the government!

12
MR ROGERS [now holding a sign and protesting]:

It’s good to have neighbors.

[ends]

Can't tell from their provocative racist AI slop whether Tories are now pro- or anti-mimes? Maybe these headlines on the front page of BBC News will help? "Kemi Badenoch has cemented her image. Now she wants to put her party back on the big stage" "'Really tough': Badenoch on threats to politicians"
A race between a pirate, who is dressed as a mime, and an actual mime, being cheered on by one of their coaches directing them towards the finish line, and tracked by the ghost of a runner who lost his legs in an horrific wheelbarrow incident. No, not really, that's just what this horrible AI slop looks like. It's actually a terrible depiction of what are supposed to be two criminals in striped pyjamas who are fleeing an angry mob of two people, one of whom has no legs. One of the criminals has a strip of black material tied around his head for some reason, and the other has a really really white face. But with them running and still wearing prison clothes, were they released or did they escape? This makes no sense. And is simultaneously one of the least awful things about the racist Tory tapestry. Don't look at the caricature of the Chancellor.

But hey, Kemi's making the Tories serious again and is horrified by how divisive rhetoric is endangering everyone's safety in political discourse. So this is fine. It's all fine. It's fine. Fine.

The image is of a four panel comic.
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a red ball labeled "A SILLY MEME".
The second panel shows Sarah taking the ball and going through a door labeled "GROUP CHAT".
The third panel shows a group of women sitting together and consoling one woman in the center. The woman in the center is saying "...And that's how it happened. It's been the worst day of my life."
The fourth panel shows Sarah standing in the doorway behind them awkwardly holding the red ball.

if you believe in yourself you can work within the existing constraints imposed upon you to, in some cases, accomplish a subset of your dreams www.qwantz.com/index.php?co...
Off panel: If you believe in yourself, you can do anything!
T-Rex: ...I can?

T-Rex: I CAN?!?T-Rex: Okay Dromiceiomimus, I believe in myself, utterly and completely, and what I want to do with that belief is get boats for hands so I can walk around and say "wow, these boats sure are handy".
T-Rex: HAND-y, Dromiceiomimus.
Dromiceiomimus: I got it, yeah. I guess we COULD make some boat-shaped gloves that -
T-Rex: NO! They have to be REAL.Utahraptor: You want to cut off your hands and replace them with ACTUAL full-sized boats?
T-Rex: I believe in myself!

T-Rex: BUT: they still have to work as hands too. They must be actual boats that are also flesh and allow me sensation.
Utahraptor: How about this: if you believe in yourself, you can do SOME things, not all things. Perhaps not even MOST things.Off panel: But you can do approximately as many things - and perhaps even slightly more - than you could if you DIDN'T believe in yourself.
T-Rex: Okay you know what that's actually WAY more reasonable

In fact, these are scenes we have not seen on British streets. Immigration needs to be deal with, I will be the first to say that and we are dealing with it. The boat crossings have been halved since six years ago, net migration is down massively.

Looks like a Hollywood studio made a Garfield movie in the 1990s, inexplicably decided to try (badly) to make their animatronic puppet look like an actual cat, and had the plot centre around Jon's ailing but rebellious mother.

"you don't know the completely legitimate legal arguments we're going to use, they go to another school"
On Friday, it was announced City had been found guilty of the vast majority of the 115 charges brought against them and Al Mubarak has responded with a letter to fans on the club's website.

"Following Friday's media reporting, many of you will have spent your evening answering questions and responding to messages from friends, family and colleagues. So have I," Al Mubarak said.

"Here's what I said to my family: The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the club's innocence is just as strong as when this began.

"There are so many things that I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident in our position.

"But the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our determination to respect it means I cannot do that at the moment. Even this letter underwent several legal checks to make sure it complies."
