gofund.me/6219d960b Shares would be appreciated! Someone dumped a bunch of cats on our property, and we'd like to get them all fixed. If I can catch the kittens and socialize them to be rehomed, that's also the plan. The one kitten I did handle is skin and bones. =\

There is also a weird thing with wanting more games to feature diverse viewpoints, then acknowledging indies are doing that, so basically what you want is a big budget game to do what indies are doing... And you gotta give this up.

I think just more nuance, more ambiguity, less neatness/black-and-white thinking, more messiness, more complexity, moving parts, undefined edges. (And readers who don't whine about encountering it, but that's proving too much to hope.)

As a general rule, breastplates tend to be very rounded, globose, and project the metal away from the wearer's chest. The bottom edge should often terminate at the natural waist, just under the ribcage & where the elbows bend. The tighter the waist the better!

Whenever I post about Dead End, I see people who didn't know it was based on graphic novels or that I have a brand new series which has all the same diversity, world-building and heart. Go-Man is inspired by my childhood special interest in Godzilla and Pokemon but is much more than that.

...and the digital shit keeps breaking or doesn't work from the start anyway. People still love touching and seeing real things. Speaking of guided tours, the teenagers are fine but the younger kids are challenging. Had to explain to 7 year olds how stickers work and similar stuff. That was dire.

The trends the last few years here (Austria) have been simpler language or layers of language difficulty in labelling (I think this is good bc the expert audience reads/buys publications or does research with the collection itself anyway) and returning to analogue media bc it ages better...

People hate downloading apps for an audio guide, web based apps do better but not as good as provided devices. If the app you have to download yourself is paid, no one will do that. Free downloadable audio guides do well with people who just listen to those at home, though.

020

elric @esktasy.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

People will do the audio tour if they get handed the device at the start. If they have a choice, most will go with labels over audio guides. More people will use the audio guide if it is on a device provided by the museum (even if they have to pay extra) [cont]
