Honest question: When did we decide that universities were supposed to investigate rapes on campus? If there's a murder on campus they call in the cops. If a protest gets out of hand they call in the cops. Why are rapes treated differently?

Disagree. The *actual* way AI approaches and processes problems is extremely alien to us to such a degree that it is very difficult for a layperson to understand. They way it explains (inaccurately) its approach to problems and processing them is anthropomorphic because it was programmed to be.

As always the problem is what comes next, and we’ve seen the answer. A combination of: 1. Democratic skittishness. 2. Nearly infinite GOP money when it comes to dilatory legal maneuvering. 3. Burrowed GOP partisans in the executive and judicial branches. 4. A hostile press. Lead to a stalemate.

I don’t remember whose insight this is, but it blew my mind when I first read that to understand American history you have to get that race law was designed to increase the number of enslavable people (one-drop rule) and decrease the number of claimants to indigenous land (blood quantum)
