Hello, my name is Shayna and I have backed over a dozen projects on Kickstarter in the past. This has included some pieces of adult content that were sexually explicit. Kickstarter has been a great platform for creators and artist to fund their projects which have a lot of artistic merit. I will no longer support any Kickstarter campaigns because of your decision to ban adult content. I am an adult and it is my decision not yours, whether I purchase sexually explicit content or not. By making these policy changes, you are capitulating to a right wing attempt to crack down on free expression and especially that of LGBT people and people of color. There will always be pornography and frankly, I think it’s a little silly that you would miss out on the money from those projects just because some Puritanical payment processor thinks you should stop. It’s really disappointing and pretty disgusting that you’re doing this.
