What Would Happen if I Changed the Question?
After completing a worked example on the board, one of my favourite questions to ask is, “What would happen if I changed the question?” More specifically, point to a number or term within the quest…

I absolutely love Natalie Haynes’ Stands Up for the Classics and have been listening to the episode about Hypatia. Was left wanting to see the sculpture she described in the show so I’m glad that she’s posted it here. Highly recommend giving the back catalogue a listen if you’ve not heard before.

After previously starting 2 different NPQs and not finishing them, I’m super chuffed to have actually finished the NPQLTD and passed it! In spite of stepping up to a national role partway through and wondering how on earth I’d manage to get it done. 🧑‍🎓

Trying to think of a fitting way to honour Dolly Parton’s memory and the best I can come up with is just to try to “be more Dolly”. She seemed like a real force for good in the world and if more people were “being more Dolly” every day then I’m sure the world would be a much better place.

1. London Underground station flooding has reportedly been reduced by around 90% thanks to a group of engineers: beavers. After conservationists reintroduced a family of beavers into a nearby city park, the animals built dams and restored wetlands that now absorb and slow floodwater naturally.

5 histograms. Each one shows the mock exam score of a group of past students who went on to get a particular grade, from grade 9 down to grade 5.
