The #cyberpunktcg pre-release was a blast to play. There were so many big plays at every table. I went 2-2 using Goro Takemura and some Maelstrom Zealots to force players into making hard decisions. I can't wait to see how the constructed scene evolves.

After ripping packs and playing some games over the weekend I'm really excited for what the #CyberpunkTCG could become. Even with the current card pool there's a good variety of play styles. You can have some really explosive turns and turn a losing game into a win at the last moment.

My #RealityFracture prediction is that Emrakul will eat the Echoverse, negating the need to kill Jace. Jace will still die but have time to have a moment with people. The Detective already said they couldn't hold themselves together even before starting the Echoverse proper.

So these cards seem to go very nicely together. Free draw with readying an eddie or trashing a card each turn with Misty, and getting to play programs from the trash and bottom-decking them with Alt Cunningham. Filtering your deck and getting to potentially use the trash is...WOW! #CyberpunkTCG

@spice8rack.bsky.social inspired me to show off my improvement on the Jaws card. It's much easier to read than the original.

Omens of Chaos by @seananmcguire.bsky.social was such a good read, it had such a great cast of characters that we got to know over the course of the story. Strixhaven is a great setting and I would absolutely love a sequel with Eula and the gang helping the next round Trans-planar students.

RespectEd Aotearoa will close in August after exhausting its reserves following the withdrawal of government funding.

For ten years, RespectEd Aotearoa has worked in the spaces where sexual violence begins. It has delivered comprehensive programmes that recognise everyone’s right to live free from harm. It has helped organisations build cultures where respect is genuinely understood and expected.

That work is ending in August.

RespectEd was founded in 2015 by Wellington Rape Crisis, WellStop, and HELP. These organisations understand the human cost of sexual violence and the limits of response-only or piece-meal approaches to sexual violence, RespectEd was created to fill this gap.

"We are not closing because the need has gone away," says Jan Logie, Chair of the Board of RespectEd Aotearoa. "We are closing because the funding did. And those are very different things.

"Government estimates that there are 209,000 incidents of sexual violence per year. This is larger than the population of Wellington, and yet the Government's decision to end funding forces the only specialist sexual violence prevention organisation in Wellington to close.

What the #MTG ProTour players are doing is cool and all but I just used Manifest Dread and Personify to get Ghalta, Etali and Zetalpa all into play on turn three. I'm sure I'll never get to pull that off again but oh my god was it satisfying!

A 1 and G cost sorcery card that has the effect Manifest dread (Look at the top two cards of your library. Put one onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature and the other into your graveyard. Turn it face up any time for its mana cost if it's a creature card.)

I had so much fun last night at the Lorwyn Eclipsed pre-release. Built a Rakdos goblins deck, my MVP was Gutsplitter Gang. Getting to drop a 6/6 on turn 4 with no ramp shenanigans is huge in limited. I was also lucky enough to pull an Oko as my only mythic.

Magica Riot is such a fun read. I wasn't sure how magical girls would translate to text as it's typically a visual thing like TV shows and Manga but Kara @magicariot.com does a fantastic job! It's got the right mix of character growth, beating up minions of an evil force and lighthearted moments.

Absolutely devoured Once Upon a Punk Show by @kateforrest.bsky.social yesterday. Fantastic book, with a interesting take on deities in the modern day. I really love the idea that chaos deities don't CAUSE chaos but are beholden to it. I'd love to read more stories in this universe.
