Master of Barbs is one of my new favourites. In my Boros Mobilize deck it can get pretty silly. Those 1/1 warrior tokens get big really fast when you have both Master of Barbs and a Shocking Sharpshooter or two.

There's a new standard combo that I really want to make work. Turn one: Slumbering Trudge with x=0 Turn two: Mabel, Bitter Recluse. Remove the stun counters from Slumbering Trudge, play a 1 drop green that untaps (Pillar launch etc). Swing for 8 with Slumbering Trudge.

Honestly the mechanism sword is a super cool bit of gear to give to a fighter.

The #cyberpunktcg pre-release was a blast to play. There were so many big plays at every table. I went 2-2 using Goro Takemura and some Maelstrom Zealots to force players into making hard decisions. I can't wait to see how the constructed scene evolves.

There's a Red/Green combo that lets Johnny Silver hand fight three times in a turn and it feels so good to pull off. Johnny readies up after the first fight, after the second fight you move a Sandevistan from Panam to Johnny, and ready him up for third fight.

So these cards seem to go very nicely together. Free draw with readying an eddie or trashing a card each turn with Misty, and getting to play programs from the trash and bottom-decking them with Alt Cunningham. Filtering your deck and getting to potentially use the trash is...WOW! #CyberpunkTCG

Rocco, Street Chef is probably my favorite food related card at the moment. I ran them as my second commander along with Baylen, the Haymaker for the Pride event this year. I got so many food tokens and made Baylen gigantic with all the counters.

What the #MTG ProTour players are doing is cool and all but I just used Manifest Dread and Personify to get Ghalta, Etali and Zetalpa all into play on turn three. I'm sure I'll never get to pull that off again but oh my god was it satisfying!

I had so much fun last night at the Lorwyn Eclipsed pre-release. Built a Rakdos goblins deck, my MVP was Gutsplitter Gang. Getting to drop a 6/6 on turn 4 with no ramp shenanigans is huge in limited. I was also lucky enough to pull an Oko as my only mythic.

Seeing older promo cards like this Ancient Hellkite having the date stamped on it is really cool, that should come back. It really makes them special, the 16th of July 2010 is a moment in time more so than a card that just has a year printed on it.

As someone that has only gotten into Magic in the last two years I love it when I find stores that sell bundles of cards like 10 rares etc it gives me a chance to come across cards from sets too old to find packs for. Dune-brood nephilim is weird I love it. 1/2

Currently playing around with a standard mtg deck around the idea of playing with opponents cards. It is not at all consistent or competitive but the chaos it causes is so much fun. This is the main gang so far, not sure what else I should include.

My lovely partner surprised me with a handful of Zendikar Rising boosters. Never seen anything from this set before, the party mechanic seems fun. I discovered Murasa Rootgrazer which looks incredible for playing with landfall now I just need to come up with a way of generating token copies!

I know there's probably a logic to this that I'm missing but some of the Foundations Jumpstart cards being banned in Standard feels like a poor choice. Take Cynette, Jelly Drover and compare it to Arahbo, the First Fang for example, similar cards yet one is allowed in standard and the other not.
