This morning, I got to play at Children's University at the Peter Underwood Center. Students learnt about the history of European and East Asian armour before making their own vambraces and/or arm guards from cardboard and a hoard of shiny cosplay fabrics. @utas.edu.au

Reminder that Shonen Jump is not synonymous with "manga." When people talk about manga artists and their insane schedules... no, those are Shonen Jump artists. Other manga artists (the remaining 90%) work no harder than American comic artists. And they are happy not to work themselves to death.

The harm done by #GenAI to human creativity develops in ways we least expect as well as the obvious ones ... cheating has always been a factor in competitions for those who would rather win than grow, but it disrespects and damages the role of the judge as well as the skills of other competitors.

We already pay as much rent as mainlanders, food is more expensive and wages are lower. Going to big events isn’t possible for most. We’re becoming one of those tourism destinations where the locals can’t afford to do anything. The stadium will massively accelerate that process. #politas #auspol
