20 More, Somehow Even Smaller, Mazes.

The screen is a mish-mash of numerous little mazes with different headings like "YOU ARE THE MAZE-ISH THING" and "EAT ALL THE DOTS". There's a picture in the bottom which has a child's drawing of a goblin overlaid and some turtles with the text "BREAKING NEWS: GOBLIN TURTLE PEACE TREATY" and there's an X in the corner with text pointing to it saying "SELECT "X" TO CLOSE".

Above the picture is the text: "PLAY STRANGE JIGSAWS". And you should, you know. Take it from me.

Sometimes I get upset with myself for choosing the hardest screenshots to describe. But here we are. Life sucks and then you die. All that counts are the screenshots in between.

Anyway, some funky looking craft is riding along a multicoloured athletics track. Yes, I know it's a rhythm chasing game, but goddamn if this does not look like a multicoloured athletics track.

Hovering above the track to the left are two phrases. Flow Switch, which is in red with half a star, followed by Chord Player which is in white and has one and half stars.

At the bottom is a style bar on the left which contains the letter "B" and on the right is "FUEL MIX" I think which is yellow and contains the numbers 11/11. There's a a big colourful bar in the centre bottom with a 4X in it. Underneath are brightly coloured tiny buttons containing levels of ... colour. It's a lot, okay.

Tempus Vitae.

First-person perspective. Futuristic, clean look. We are looking at some experiment-type thing, a giant cylinder containing some floating yellowy polyhedrons. Yeah, I'm going with that. I've written enough descriptions to start taking shortcuts, people.

Naturally, there is a sign overhead, in front of some chunky pipes, that reads RADIATION WARNING with the radiation symbol. There are two doorways at the back, both say "UNLOCKED". In future, doors will tell if they are unlocked or not. That's how you know it is future.

There's a small HUD display in the bottom left. It's got a green health bar and blue power bar. It also looks like the date is shown. Y2185. M11. D28. Time travel, maybe!?!?

Trading Card Inspector.

The whole display is plotted in cyan and black, with the background being black.

The main part of the display shows the back of a card labelled "HABUBIS TRADING CARD GAME" with a knife/blood motif on it. There's a big text boxout beside it explaining the BLOOD CARDS MODIFIER which has some great text: "This batch of cards may or may not have been involved with a violent criminal action.".

On the left is a list of documents that you can select, I would guess, such as HOW TO PLAY and STAT REQUIREMENTS. There is a puppy with a hat on the bottom left above a ball which contains the number 0.

On the right are stats like -1, +1 something called IDK and there's a 911 button.

There's also an alert saying "THEY TOWED AWAY SOMEONE'S CAR OUTSIDE!"

Looks mad, that's all I can say. If you're new around these parts, that is a vote of confidence.

The Arab League of Misfits.

The entire screen is covered with cards which vary from "YOUR DAD FEARS YOUR MOM" to "NO TEARS WITHOUT TEAR GAS". The display is at a slight angle and looks incomplete as if it was caught in motion or clipped from photo.

Anyway, it's a card game innit! There's a list of stats down the right side indicating Attacks, Defense, Insult, Power-up, Trap, Ultimate, SHATARA and SUMOUD. I don't know what it's all about, but maybe you will know one day.

The House Before.

We are looking at something that looks like a machine interface, largely draped in a purple hue. There is a large rectangular viewport to the upper right, showing a fuzzy display in which can be seen a rail that goes into closed, barred passage. There are two other barred passages on the left and right.

Underneath the viewport are four lights, the first of which are lit, and a command selector which currently reads "ACTIVATE". There is also another indicator to the right that says "EYE".

The left side of the screen is dominated by a big circular hole. While some of the machinery is connected by pipes, there is an organic shift towards the right, as the backdrop is covered in something more like veins.

Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy.

In this monochrome, dithered scene, a figure leans menacingly towards you - her eyes completely white. Shelves in the background seems to hold... severed heads.

Ooh there's a candle in the bottom left, I just saw it.

SPRAWL zero.

First-person perspective game. We look out upon some industrial part of a city, full of rusting pipes and girders. The sky is overcast and everything has a sandy, sallow hue. A craft of some kind, maybe a drone, is hovering in the air with lights or jets emanating from ports around its periphery. We are stood on a walkway.

There's a crane in the background and something that looks suspiciously like the Citadel from Half-Life 2. It stretches up the screen and we cannot see the top of it.

Okay so I've no fucking idea what I'm looking at here. This does look like a combat game. In the top left a styled hear contains... 1/1. Underneath a cool mace chain motif reads STAMINA 160. The player is using a bow which has offers DAMAGE 1-2.

I guess the player with the bow is on the lower left and it's difficult to see them because their wearing a dark hood with yellow highlights and is smothered in blood. The beast in the fray takes up the right half of the screen, and I think has been hit with the bow - it's head is rocking sideways, looking a bit like a arctic seal with sharp teeth and red horns. He is covered in blood. He also has hands.

Blood is everywhere. Did I mention that??

N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO.

It's everyone's coolest minimalist platformer where death is frequent. In this screen, four different ninjas, in pastel colours, share the screen. There are several rows of gold squares and one ninja, the brown one, is about to exit on the bottom row. The other three are trying to escape several missiles further up the screen. There is an explosion occurring, which is probably one of the missiles.

The background consists of light grey stripes, a bit like the floor of the Red Room in Twin Peaks, if the Red Room was a cosy place.

PUTRID/SHARP.

A impressionistic picture on the left shows two figures near each other. It is unclear if they are sitting or standing or attempting to sleep.

On the right is dialog, like the kind of thing you might see in a game like Disco Elysium, which is totally a game I haven't played. Here's what the text reads:

Sarah is gently holding Odes arm, assessing how badly he got hurt.

Ode lurches back, yanking his arm away.

Sarah lets him go, but she doesn't create any distance between them.

Sarco.

First-person perspective game where we're looking into a sort of ancient tomb with stone pillars. In the centre is a very important pillar which has a light blue eye motif struck on its surface. That might actually be the player's reticule, though, it is difficult to tell.

Everything is really red, yo.

A small bar on the bottom left indicates your Oxygen.

Alruna: End of History.

A little flower gal stands in the lower left in a room in a chamber that has an image or statue of a woman in distress. It looks like she is shackled and possibly has a crown of thorns. This might be the BOSS though because there is an enormous hitpoint bar at the bottom of the screen and, guess what, it's marked BOSS.

Art style is of a 90s console metroidvania.

Atmospheric Labyrinth.

This looks like a crisp isometric floorplan, entirely in monochrome. It is strange, though, because the floorplan, which looks like a set of normal household rooms, covers the entire screen - as if these normal-looking rooms go on forever.

Not every room has a door. There are small slits on some of the walls, so possibly you have to shift the walls to open up the rooms.

There is no player character visible.

I SHALL NAME THE DEAD.

Cool looking lady stares at you wearing an orange top and orange lipstick; she is possibly blind in one eye as its pupil is white. This has the appearance of a static shot from a visual novel. In the bottom left there is a dialog box indicating Imaculada is saying, "It's... a kid."

If you look closely, the background has a papery texture.

A new problem I'm having with He Who Watches is that in the last week, the mouse keeps moving out of the game onto the other monitor. This wasn't a problem initially and the only solution I've found right now is rearrange my displays so mouse escape is unlikely.

HE WHO WATCHES just getting the fuck out of the Chamber of Rigidity, I been in there a week with little progress. Also when you're chained to a block... if the block is pushed, you move with it; but if you are pushed, the block anchors you. This physics incongruity is messing me up a little.

Players arms hold a bow out. We are near a door which has a sun/eye design on it. It isn't glowing yellow, and that means we ain't solved that puzzle. No, sir.

HE WHO WATCHES. It took me a little while to find my bearings in this one - the hub/puzzle structure was confusing as was some of the interactions. But persevere because on the other side is some puzzle cool. Lots going on here but main thing (so far) is **assigning gravity** to each block. 1/2

In a room made of bricks, the first-person perspective shows the player is holding a bow and looking at incomplete bridge made of glass panels.

On the final final revision of all the Bivium text which means I can have a final final countdown to being "done". The percentage track is lumpy - some of the items are literally one passage and others are over 15.

A list of percentages. All are 0% except for the first, which is "TOTAL" equal to 2.86% and the second which reads "LANES" equal to 100% and was completed on 30 August.

The names against the 0% percentages are all blotted out. Although one of the entries nearer the bottom has a bit of additional text saying "Make more scary".

AI adverts on YouTube are my new jam. They go on for hours. The weird. Pauses. The wild inconsistency in the editing. The same avatar playing different people in the same scene. The droning narration with the same pep as a coffin lowered into the ground. It's an inspiration how bad they are.
