Have you seen the new Robinsons ad? 📺 www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO6P... A teacher calls home about behaviour. The parent laughs it off. Meant as a joke, but it landed badly. With behaviour a real challenge, undermining teacher authority feels out of step & it appears to have backfired with teachers.

Interesting discussion on @ttradioofficial.bsky.social this weekend about the role of unions. Edapt was founded in 2011 to support teachers who wanted protection without campaigning. Unions matter, but they’re not for everyone and teachers should have a real choice and they do!

BREAKING The NEU indicative ballot has closed with those who voted in favour of rejecting an unfunded offer of 2.8% 🗳️Results 93.7% Reject the 2.8% pay recommendation 83.4% willing to take strike action if it goes to a formal ballot. Crucially though, less than half of NEU members voted at all🤷
