And not for nuthin but the entirety of the desire for “humane execution” is simply to conceal from ourselves the enormity of what we’re doing. Beheading was regarded as the most merciful—quick, certain, usually with minimal pain if done correctly—culminating in the guillotine. But it’s grisly.
