Drank my first Fuller's Vintage Ale 2026 last night. After pouring, I was surprised by the hop aroma with hops also present on the palate. Soon gave way to more typical maltiness, but without a strong flavour. Tasted a little thin. It didn’t stand out as one the best vintages, but time will tell.

秋が深まる10～11月は、柿が旬を迎える季節～木にぶら下がった鮮やかな橙色のたわわな実を見ると、秋が来たなと感じます🌿 柿くへば鐘が鳴るなり法隆寺正岡子規が奈良を旅した明治28年に詠んだ有名な一句ですが、柿を味わうひと時と、古都に響く鐘の音～その取り合わせが、秋の情景を今に伝えています。余談～この句にちなみ、10月26日は「柿の日」です。夜明け時間も遅くなり、朝晩の空気がひんやりして澄み渡り、夕暮れも少しずつ早くなる頃～木の葉の緑の間で色づく橙色の柿を眺め、甘く熟した柿をひとつ味わう～秋の深まりに旬の柿を味わうと、懐かしい故郷の姿に遠くに鳴る鐘の音が聞こえて来るようで～🍃

晩ごはん！チキングラタンとパン、鶏とちくわとワカメのサラダ。グラタンうまいなー。日本酒の日の一本は日田市の井上酒造「百合仕込み」ひやおろし。POPに書かれてるように、キリッとしつつ旨みも湛えたいいお酒です。甲子園は延長12回に突入か、大山の大飛球が行ったと思ったんだけど。ここまできたら勝ちをつかみたい！
