this is how dumb you sound, democrats, when you accept the absurd premise that this is an issue that you need to campaign on

"We started a war of aggression for no reason & commenced it by accidentally bombing an elementary school & killing over 100 kids." That simple fact is so horrific that it's just kind of bouncing on the surface of our collective consciousness. We can't absorb its full implications & significance.

This is the war on Christmas - it could be a tweet from Herod’s ministry of war. This is the sort of blasphemy that ought to enrage Christians everywhere. Jesus’ birth story is of a family forced to leave their home due to an authoritarian ruler and political violence. The context is right there.

I’m not even going to publish a copy of Trumps comments about Reiner and his wife. But occasionally he reminds me that he is simply one of the worst, most degenerate individuals who has ever existed in American public life. Hard to think of any more vicious, vile and sociopathic.

conspiracy to make a cop go slow
It was further part of the conspiracy that the co-conspirators, including
RABBITT, ABUGHAZALEH, MARTIN, SHARP, STRAW and WALSH, physically hindered and impeded Agent A and the Government Vehicle such that Agent A was forced to drive at an extremely slow rate of speed to avoid injuring any of the conspirators and in doing so slowly progressed towards the BSSA to discharge the duties of his office.

democrats of all stripes should be rallying around kat abughazaleh asap. it doesnt matter where you stand ideologically. trying to jail dissenters is fundamentally unamerican and 100% fascist. democratic leaders at all levels should be making noise about it. you dont need a poll or focus group.

heartbroken to learn the pope sympathizes with the poor. how can i continue to believe in god
The Pope tweets: "The poor are not there by chance or by blind and cruel fate. Nor, for most of them, is poverty a choice. Yet, there are those who still presume to make this claim, thus revealing their own blindness and cruelty. #DilexiTe"

Someone replies: "I was so hopeful I could be a Catholic again after the disaster that Francis was, guess we just get Francis 2.0 now and I am heartbroken. How do I stay a Catholic now...I don't want to lose faith but I am. You belong to someone else, not God."

Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.

At a more basic level, in a democratic society, due process before a neutral fact finder is how we evaluate a conditional statement that begins with “if you <allegation>.” It doesn’t turn on and off depending on the allegation.

where does the new york times even find these people
A screenshot of a New York Times update that says: In Grand Central Terminal, Leon Chang, 26, of Brooklyn, said he had not heard of congestion pricing and asked what it was. When explained it was a toll for cars entering Manhattan, he then asked “What do you mean? What is a car?” Walking outside, we showed him a vehicle parked on the street. He gently touched the hood of the car. “You wish to forbid these majestic beasts from entering the city,” he said in a wistful tone. “It is a folly of man. The desire to tame the world around us.”

Why I am fine with Eat the Rich: Jeff Bezos announcing that he's marrying his next wife, Lauren Sanchez, in a lavish $600m ceremony. They live in Florida. $600m would cover 2 years of FL k-12 free lunch programs. Last year the state discontinued the office that helped schools file for free lunches.

Black Lives Matter was an effort to call attention to the unprosecuted murders of African Americans, and the MAGA response was “no, BLUE Lives Matter” As if there was an epidemic of unprosecuted cop killings instead of our reality where cop killings are treated *more* seriously in countless ways.
