What's your "origin" video game? Ghostbusters for the Commodore 64 on 5.25 inch floppy disk. As a kiddo I had to learn code to load the program. I got pretty good at parsing out what codes to use to get just about any other game to load as well. Comma 8 comma 1 forever!

Put on some nice clothes but then looked out the window and immediately felt like a man of slovenly appearance.

A male mandarin duck who gets off purely on being mean who saw that I had put on the one nice outfit I own for one of the most important evenings of my life and decided to sartorially annihilate me, even though, due to having no friends, it had planned to do nothing all evening but hang out on this shit rusty metal railing staring at its own reflection in a window. Incidentally, later this would become the cover shot for my unsuccessful rustic synth-based confessional 1983 solo LP 'Mandarin Duck Outside My Window'.

Boo! Hubby's preferred cola didn't arrive with the groceries this morning. Yay! I felt well enough for a little walk to the local charity shop 2 blocks away. Yay! They get lots of discounted/short dated food & drink from retailers and they had his fave cola for 1/2 the supermarket price 😁

Happy Monday folks! Still feel snotty & tired but took my dad into town to get his train home, then went for my pre-booked C19 jab. I told the pharmacist I was getting over a cold and he said that was fine. I've got my flu jab on Thur so I've scheduled NOTHING this week aside from work & rest.

Right, updates! I got through work & Hubby confirmed he's *not* travelling with us tomorrow (but hopefully Tue?) so I had to buy new train tickets for me for tomorrow (my dad insisted on paying for them - I'm VERY lucky). I had a little stress cry which helped me decompress, now resting.

Work is done and all three of us are resting: Hubby to continue recovery, my dad after grocery shopping AND doing washing up AND going out and doing stuff in town, and me from work. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit easier and less exhausting for us all.

Right! Updates! Dad arrived OK! HUZZAH! Poor Hubby is back from the dentist (it WAS an abscess) - he had the choice of antibiotics or extraction: he went for extraction. Hopefully that's the end of it! Now we're all home & relaxing. Hopefully my tum & stress levels will calm down now.

Happy Friday folks! It's sunny, windy & cool here today-properly autumnal. Hubby's no worse today but no better-at least he sees the dentist this pm so can hopefully start treatment! So, my IBS is back AGAIN and I think I know why. It's stress/anxiety. 1 - My dad's coming to stay tomorrow 2 - Hubby's unwell (probable dental abscess - sees dentist tom) 3 - We're all due to go to Scotland Mon-Fri next week. One thing on its own I could probably manage but all together it's A LOT.

Happy Thursday folks! We've got blue skies but it's cold. My tum played up AGAIN yesterday afternoon/evening but I got through my classes thank goodness. Today I'm feeling sore but it's a day off - I just have to go to the GPs for a routine HRT appointment at 10 (5 min walk away) and that's it.
