Crispy chilli chicken with garlic and lemon sauce!!

A bowl of crispy chilli chicken, small chunks of chicken rolled in seasoned flour and breadcrumbs before frying, then covered in a fresh, sharp garlic and lemon sauce on a bed of fluffy basmati rice, topped with chopped spring onions.

A full-colour poster of Mr Rumbles and Keiko! Mr Rumbles looks pretty big in this poster, all Hot Pink on grey, cat ears proud and BLAM-BA-BLAM! goes his armour-piercing heavy machine gun. Get some, Mr Rumbles! It even says "Mr Rumbles" above him in kanji form, one for 'Mister' and the repeated onomatopoeiac kanji for 'rumble'.
Looking tiny, because she isn't the star, is Keiko, shouting her little squishy human heart out; you can tell by the '!' above her head. You're right, it *does* look like the best Japanese model kit box art for a cute little battle tank!

Wanna see a magic trick? In the portrait below, it looks like our heroine is inside a dark tunnel with a little ambient light and a big blue glow from her sword, Soultaker. The tunnel is actually just a few splashes of colour on a flat black layer. Ta-da!

The light in the darkness background, looking like a deep and dark rounded rocky tunnel tapering off into the distance, with a little ambient light glinting off brownish rocks and a few flecks of gold to the right and the eldritch blue glow of the sword bouncing off the rocks to the left.

With the black layer beneath it removed, the cave is revealed as just a few flecks of colour with an angled brush in two or three shades of brown with a few dot highlights of near-white, a couple of dots of translucent gold to the right and a layer of blue painted over the left with a soft-edged brush. Art - it's all magic tricks, really...

Mini of the month - Tanks for the memories Entry 6 by @tammi.bsky.social Mr Rumbles, Hero of the Revolution!! And Keiko! #Nerdlings #MiniOfTheMonth

A close-up glamour shot of the gloriously pink Hero of the Revolution, Mr Rumbles, an armoured fighting vehicle with all-terrain tracks, extra armour, a large calibre heavy machine gun and cute little ears welded to his turret. His green sensor lens is bright, like his future, and he proudly wears the number 4 of his former unit - 4 The Revolution! Blurred by distance behind him is Keiko, pointing the way.

Among the rubble and ruins, Mr Rumbles, machine gun pointing up and forward, is alert and ready to follow the mission of his friend and companion at his side, Keiko! She has her arm out, showing the way, and looks fabulous in her pink jumpsuit that matches Mr Rumbles' armour plating! She carries a sub-machine gun and wears ear defenders with extra cat ears, just like her robot buddy! You guessed it, it was Keiko that welded those ears onto the turret of the broken AFV-4 and named him Mr Rumbles after she reactivated him.

A sad Mr Rumbles tilts his turret down as he realises the mission involves yet more death and destruction. Sure, he's a top-of-the-range armoured fighting vehicle, he was built for this, and Keiko seems happy when he's all BLAM-BA-BLAM-BA-BLAM and turning the Bad Guys into meat chunks, but isn't there more to life? Keiko hasn't even noticed he's sad.
Oh well.

A fun colour study tonight to wind down after drawing detailed black and white comics all day. Translucent colours over greyscale and then a few opaque slashes of colour for the surroundings and an extra painted layer of eldritch glowiness.

Another colour character study for Ravenstone, this time a swordswoman with an eyepatch, dressed in red and gold scalemail and leather, with matching cropped red hair, stern-faced and wielding the magical sword Soultaker as she explores a dark cave. There are a few glints of gold or gems in the darkness to the right, whereas the left side of the tunnel is lit by the blue glow of Soultaker, which is also lighting her face. Did she just hear something?
