Run AlphaFold2 locally in your browser via WebGPU, no installation needed, it's just a static webpage using your own GPU or CPU. Short proteins run in seconds. Larger ones are still slow: a 291-aa protein takes ~7 minutes on my M4 Pro. ❗It's just a PoC. 🌐 martin-steinegger.github.io/alphafold2-w...

CoralscapesV2 is out! Come see my oral at the #ECCV2026 workshop on marine vision! TL;DR: 1. CoralscapesV2 is better than V1 in every way (bigger, higher quality, more diverse, more classes) 2. 65k *exhaustive* fish instance annotations (painstaking is an understatement) 3. Better models on HF 🤗!

On 26 August 2026, a glacier collapse on Langtang Lirung triggered a flash flood and debris avalanche in northern Nepal. Copernicus Sentinel-2 images from 12 and 27 August show the affected region before and after the event, revealing the increase in river water.

Can the new DiffusionGemma model help fix broken OCR? In theory, denoising tokens in parallel could work better for OCR correction since context is seen upfront? Pointed it at 19th-century newspaper OCR. It corrected better than the autoregressive baseline — at ~8x the speed.
