The problem is that ‘international’ (including EU) students are subsidising ‘home’ (i.e. UK resident) students. Until this fundamental flaw in the UK’s university funding model is addressed, UK #academia will continue on a downward spiral. #HigherEducation

If you are at #ECVP2026 drop by my poster this afternoon on categorical storage of visual working memory content. TLDR: humans are lazy. Memorizing color category instead of hue reduces memory load. Thus, recall is biased toward category prototypes, especially when attentional resources are low.
